Great meeting with Sanja Ostroski of ACT in Cakovec. After a intense brainstorming concerning the common future perspectives we visited the current garlic field with Sanja and discussed further steps.

Between the meetings we have used the time to visit the ROMANI KAFENAVA in Maribor. After a delicious traditional Cafe, we were able to present our project to the manager and enjoyed this charming place. We highly recommend a visit to this place!

We were allowed to take part in a very informative and productive meeting to discuss the development and the completion of the project roma6plus6. Participants were: Luisa Rodrigues (Project Officer, Brussels), Mag. Andrea Darvishzadeh (City of Graz), Markus Mandl (EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURS) and Philipp Lienhart (EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURS).

Councilwoman of the city of Graz and honorary president of EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURS Sissi Potzinger was invited to Paris (UNESCO headquaters) as a representative of the Mayor of the city of Graz, Siegfried Nagl and the city of Graz, the only city of human rights in Europe. During the panel discussion "Fighting Racism and Discrimination: History, Memory and Contemporary Challenges" Ms. Potzinger presented the project FAIR FUTURE BIO GARLIC.

EN presented in the Czech parliament
The „Chamber of Deputies" of the Czech parliamnet invited Ms. Sissi Potzinger, councilwoman of the City of Graz and honorary president of EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURS as one of the key-note speakers to the seminar "Integration and retention of the disadvantaged into the workforce" on February 24th 2015 in the Parliament of the Czech Republic.

LUKASHOF genussManufaktur goes FAIR FUTURE BIO GARLIC
After a short meeting during the BIOFACH 2015 in Nürnberg in February we visited the manufactory in Grafendorf near Graz. Lukashof is a producer of BIO-foodstaff like chutneys, jam, seasoning salts, pestos etc. Together with the managing director Dagmar Högler and Sandra Merz - Albores Perez we discussed possible ways to cooperate organic products with garlic.

BIOFACH 2015
The BIOFACH 2015 in Nürnberg is the place for people to share their passion for organic food and the organic market. We could take the chance to meet and exchange with like-minded people and find new partners for our project. The fair takes place for over 25 years and always was, is and will be a great place for knowledge transfer in the organic sector.

EN meets CARITAS
On 10th February 2015 we invited Ms Mag.a. Elisabeth Hartl from CARITAS Graz, Foreign Aid Department, for a meeting in our office. Ms Hartl was interested in any activities of our association in the sector of work, education, health and housing for Roma and informed us about the work of CARITAS in Roma issues.

Roma Ball 2015
On the 2nd of february the traditional ball of the Cultural Association of Austrian Roma in Vienna took place. EUROPEAN NEIGHBOURS was represented by Markus Mandl and Philipp Lienhart. In addition to dance music traditional Roma songs were performed. We especially thank the family Sarközi for the invitation and a great evening.
